Extract PDF Pages
Keep only the pages you need. Extract a selection of pages from a longer document into a separate PDF — useful for sending one chapter, one invoice page or one signed sheet from a big file.
For example 2-5, 9 pulls pages two through five and page nine.
How extract pdf pages works
- Upload the source PDFFurtu reads the page structure locally to find out how many pages there are.
- Choose the pagesEnter a range such as 1-3 or a list such as 1, 4, 9-12.
- Download the new documentYou get one PDF containing exactly the pages you asked for.
What you get
Pull selected pages into a brand-new PDF. Everything happens inside this page: the file is read by your browser, transformed in memory and handed straight back to you as a download. There is no upload queue, no waiting for a server, and nothing left behind when you close the tab.
Supported formats
Furtu accepts .pdf files up to 500 MB each — one file at a time.
- Every file is checked against its real file signature, not just its name, so a renamed or corrupt file is rejected with an explanation instead of failing halfway through.
- Files over the limit are refused up front rather than after a long wait.
Limitations, stated up front
- Bookmarks, outlines and form fields are not reconstructed in the extracted file.
- Password-protected documents must be unlocked before extraction.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from splitting a PDF?
Splitting produces several files. Extraction produces one new file containing only the pages you selected, leaving the rest in the original.
Can I extract non-contiguous pages?
Yes. Use commas and hyphens — “2-5, 9, 14-16” is valid — and the pages come out in the order you list them.
Are the pages uploaded?
No. The pages are copied into a new document in your browser, with no upload step. Extracting one invoice page from a full statement is exactly the operation where you would not want the whole statement leaving your device.
Will the extracted file keep the original’s fonts and links?
Fonts and embedded images come across intact. Internal bookmarks, outline entries and form fields are not rebuilt, because they reference structure that a single extracted page no longer has.
